My day out to Lambeth

I was given the chance to go to London to a brand new community that was opening in Norwood in Lambeth. I was representing Emmaus Cambridge. I was very pleased with Jane asked me as I thought this was a good opportunity to prove myself to her that I could be very sensible and trustworthy.
So I went to London with my friend ‘B’ , caught the train and tube to Lambeth, as soon as we got off the tube we saw the Emmaus sign, we walked up to the front gate and saw a woman on stilts and lots of people walking around. We had a look around the house and the warehouse and we got to see Terry Waite and Joanna Lumley and we chatted to community members and public and stopped off for something to eat.

All in all we had a nice day and I think I proved to myself and others that I can be trusted and it gave me a lot of confidence to do something else like this again.
